Hypergoat Coffee Roasters is a coffee shop located in Old Town Alexandria who also sell their own ethically sourced and sustainable coffee. I researched the company, the story behind their name (the Ethiopian legend of Kaldi, a goatherd who discovered coffee), and other similar coffee brands. For the logo mark, I wanted to show the relationship between the legend of the goats and coffee in a way that would be clear even without the name and illustrated the goat-coffee logo by hand. Rather than use the brown and green color scheme common among environmentally-conscious coffee brands, I chose one that referenced those but were more vibrant. The hand drawn illustrations are inspired by the coffee-growing regions of each country represented.
